Family money library

Practical money conversations for ordinary family life.

These guides are designed for parents and caregivers who want to give children safe practice with choices, waiting, planning, spending, earning, and sharing. They are educational, not financial advice, and they do not require the Kids Piggy Bank app.

Start with the situation you have today

No single allowance formula fits every family.

Age, local prices, family budget, culture, and the responsibilities a child is ready to handle all matter. The aim of this library is not to prescribe one number or one parenting style. It is to give you a clear framework, realistic examples, questions to ask, and a small practice you can adapt.

How we write these guides

Educational first, product second.

The public guides are meant to stand on their own. They do not require an account, a parent PIN, a purchase, or the private app. We avoid investment recommendations, credit product recommendations, and claims that one parenting method guarantees a financial outcome.

For general child financial-capability framing we consult public educational resources including the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Money as You Grow program and FDIC Money Smart for Young People. We then write our own examples and exercises for family use.
